About the Role The Company is in search of a Vice President, Clinical Development with a focus on Immunology and Rheumatology. The successful candidate will be a key leader in shaping and executing the immunology strategy, particularly in the area of classical complement-mediated autoimmune disease. This pivotal role involves providing leadership in clinical and medical strategies from early-phase development through to proof-of-concept studies, as well as contributing to drug candidate submissions, approvals, and commercialization efforts. The VP will be responsible for leading medical oversight of clinical studies, driving clinical strategy and protocol design, and ensuring the integration of drug discovery insights into development programs. Strategic leadership, including fostering innovation and differentiation, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, translational medicine, regulatory affairs, and commercial teams, are also key aspects of the role.
Candidates for the Vice President, Clinical Development position at the company should have an advanced degree in medicine or a related field, with a medical degree preferred, and subspecialty training in immunology and rheumatology. A minimum of 15 years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, with a focus on immunology and rheumatology drug development, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leadership and commercialization of immunologic or rheumatologic products, a deep understanding of immunologic diseases, and experience in all aspects of the drug development process, including regulatory interactions and successful submissions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to develop and execute strategic plans in dynamic environments, are essential. The role demands a dedicated professional who is committed to advancing innovative therapies and can promote a culture of teamwork, innovation, and accountability.
