The Recovery Resolutions Supervisor will support certified medical coders or recovery resolutions representatives that will provide coding and coding auditing services directly to providers. This includes the analysis and translation of medical and clinical diagnoses, procedures, injuries, or illnesses into designated numerical codes.

Primary Responsibilities:

Sets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of own teamOversees work activities of medical coders or recovery resolutions representativesAdapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challengesInfluences or provides input to forecasting and planning activitiesLeverage pertinent data to identify and solve a range of problemsExamine, assess, and document business operations and procedures to ensure data integrity, data security, and process optimizationLeverage solid communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, and written) with a demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely with peers, superiors, subordinates, members, and providersManage the day-to-day activities of staffSet priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are metProvide coaching and constructive feedback to team membersEmployee will be required to completed the Coding AcademyOther duties or projects may apply

Required Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) with an active, unrestricted Puerto Rico license or an active Certified Professional Coder (CPC)2+ years of experience managing or supervising employees in a metrics and data driven environment2+ years of experience in a production environment within the healthcare industryIntermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills: Microsoft Excel (ability to sort, sum, insert bar graphs and use formulas) , Microsoft Word (ability to create documents and complete mail merging), Microsoft Outlook (ability to manage email, calendar, and task lists), and Microsoft PowerPoint (ability to create presentations with images, words, charts / graphs and merging data from Microsoft Excel)Bilingual Spanish/English

Preferred Qualifications:

Project management experienceDemonstrated inventory management skills
