The Head of Industry is in charge of developing, owning, and executing a plan and strategy around new customer acquisition, vertical management, and the team's overall success. This highly dynamic and collaborative position will interface with multiple departments like marketing, product, finance, and content. You should possess extensive knowledge of sales fundamentals and best practices and the ability to coach, mentor, and supervise others.

As a Head of Industry, you should have strong logical and quantitative skills and the ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations and drive actions for your clients and your team. It is extremely important to have experience managing a pipeline of new customer targets in new or existing verticals, experience managing a team, strong skills in negotiating, and the ability to communicate and build relationships at the C-suite level.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution, communication, and implementation of initiatives that support the strategic direction of Money Group.
  • Manage and coach a high-performing team of Account Executives, providing guidance and support to ensure individual and team success.
  • Manage multiple strategic relationships at the C-Suite level.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, product, and our content team, to ensure alignment and success in achieving company goals.
  • Drive Revenue growth across your specific industry and verticals under management.
  • Communicate internally and externally to the C-suite.
  • Guide and inspire a team of strong sellers to exceed sales targets.
  • Manage P&L for a specific industry under your management.
  • Identify growth opportunities in new and existing verticals and build and then manage the execution of those opportunities.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to inform decision-making to improve business performance.
  • In charge of the execution of annual growth plans (in collaboration with your team of AE’s) for top partners by facilitating onsite annual business reviews.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the industry, competition, and emerging trends to stay ahead of the curve and drive innovation.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and teamwork within the sales organization.
  • Able to analyze and solve issues without precedent, act quickly to build recommendations, ato study the implementation to mitigate them in the future.
  • Ability to deeply understand and interpret marketing campaign data and clearly/succinctly communicate actionable plans to increase revenue and profitability to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel to trade shows, conferences, and client offices for networking and partner meetings.
  • Manage multiple priorities and be able to prioritize based on the impact.
  • Deep understanding of different marketing channels, ie paid search, paid media, SEO, email, etc.
  • Other responsibilities might be assigned by the Head of Sales.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related.
  • From 8+ years of experience working directly with digital and performance marketing, online media, and social
  • 5-10 years of management experience.
  • 5+ years of sales, managing teams, setting goals/quotas, and BD experience.
  • Experience running a high-performing Sales or Biz Dev team; high comfort level working with the C-Suite internally and externally.
