What You’ll Do
The Role
The Team Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production plans are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory and quality standards. This role provides front-line leadership, drives team performance, and plays a key role in delivering results across safety, quality, productivity, and delivery.
What You’ll Lead
- Lead shift-based manufacturing operations, ensuring safe and efficient daily production execution
- Manage team performance through coaching, feedback, and accountability to drive results
- Facilitate Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings and ensure alignment on priorities
- Monitor performance metrics such as OEE, volume, and schedule attainment
- Promote and enforce compliance with ISO standards, OSHA regulations, and GMP requirements
- Foster a strong safety culture and actively address unsafe conditions and behaviors
- Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members
- Maintain and execute a Skill Matrix to ensure team capability and flexibility
- Escalate and support resolution of quality issues, including PQRS and consumer complaints
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, CI) to solve problems and drive improvements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and standardization across operations
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or Associate Degree required (technical or engineering background preferred)
- 2–5 years of manufacturing experience, with prior leadership or shift lead experience preferred
- Experience working in regulated environments (tobacco, NGP, pharma, or consumer goods)
- Working knowledge of ISO standards, OSHA regulations, and GMP
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, shift-based manufacturing environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Preferred:
- Experience leading teams in tobacco manufacturing
- Lean / Continuous Improvement or 5S experience
- Strong coaching and conflict resolution skills
