*Responsibilities*

* Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and kitchen staff
* Operate dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures
* Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly cleaning surfaces, floors, and equipment in accordance with sanitation standards
* Buss tables and clear dishes promptly during service to ensure a tidy dining environment
* Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely and efficiently
* Follow proper food handling protocols to uphold food safety management standards throughout all processes
* Support the team with general kitchen duties including organizing supplies and assisting with catering or special event setups

*Requirements*

* Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are highly valued
* Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and kitchen health and safety standards
* Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely
* Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and basic cooking tools is advantageous
* Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving others
* Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
