The Credit Manager manages the organization's credit policies and procedures including creditworthiness, setting credit limits, monitoring accounts, developing credit policies, negotiating contracts, managing collections, reporting, and training staff. Major Functional Responsibilities Assess the financial stability and creditworthiness of potential and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and payment histories. Establish credit limits and terms for customers based on their credit evaluations. Keep track of outstanding balances and ensuring timely payments to minimize bad debts. Create and enforce credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and company standards. Make decisions on loan approvals based on the analysis of credit data and risk assessments. Work with clients to negotiate loan terms and conditions. Prepare and present reports on credit activities and performance to senior management. Provide training and guidance to the credit team to ensure effective credit management. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards Bilingual
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish Demonstrated risk assessment skills. Proficient financial analytical skills. Experience using credit score models to determine the risk level of potential and existing customers. Strong negotiation skills. Understanding of credit related laws and regulations. Clear and effective communication skills. Attention to detail. Familiar with credit management software and tools.
