Duties Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems such as Clover to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide exceptional customer service to foster a friendly atmosphere. Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using retail math skills. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards. Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all items meet quality and safety guidelines. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of beverage quality and cleanliness. Experience Previous experience working as a barista or in the food service industry is highly preferred. Familiarity with café operations, including beverage service and food handling procedures. Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Basic math proficiency for cash handling and retail transactions. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food preparation techniques. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
