*Job Summary*

*Duties*
* Prepare ingredients through slicing, dicing, and portioning using proper knife skills and slicing techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
* Cook menu items according to standardized recipes, maintaining food safety and quality standards at all times.
* Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, and food processors safely and efficiently.
* Assist with meal preparation, plating, and presentation to meet restaurant specifications.
* Maintain cleanliness of workstations by cleaning utensils, equipment, and surfaces regularly in accordance with safety standards in production.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff through clear communication to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations.
* Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold food safety management protocols, including proper storage and sanitation practices.
*Qualifications*
* Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or the food industry is highly preferred.
* Demonstrated knowledge of dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus.
* Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and recipe adherence are essential.
* Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely is required.
* Experience with menu planning, catering, or serving is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment.
* Knowledge of safety standards in production and food handling practices to ensure a safe working environment.
