Medical Scribe

*Job Overview*

Join the care team as a Medical Scribe, capturing accurate clinical information so providers can focus on patients. You'll document visits in electronic medical record (EMR) and electronic health record (EHR) systems, support medical records management, and follow privacy requirements. *Duties*

* Record patient histories, symptoms, examination findings, diagnoses, and care plans in EMR/EHR systems.
* Transcribe provider-patient conversations and prepare accurate medical documentation using medical terminology.
* Review records for completeness and route documentation for provider review as directed.
* Support electronic health records (EHR) management and maintain organized, accurate medical records.
* Interact professionally with patients while protecting clinical confidentiality and following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance policies.

*Requirements*

* Strong writing, typing, transcription, and medical transcription skills, with careful attention to detail.
* Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
* Familiarity with EMR systems, EHR systems, or combined EMR/EHR platforms; medical office experience is helpful.
* Understanding of HIPAA and experience achieving HIPAA compliance by following privacy and security procedures.
* Patient interaction experience is valuable; emergency room experience is preferred.
