Sports Instructor

*Job Overview*

The sports Instructor provides safe, organized, inclusive, and enjoyable sports instruction and recreational activities for children, youth, and adults. The position teaches fundamental skills, rules, techniques, and strategies; develops athletic abilities; and encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and personal growth. Working with the Sports & Recreation Coordinator and program staff, the Coach plans and delivers practices, clinics, leagues, camps, and special events adapted to participants' ages, abilities, and experience. Assignments may include basketball & volleyball based on program needs and the instructor's qualifications.

*Duties*

* Plan and lead sports-specific training, coaching, and physical education activities, including basketball & volleyball.
* Demonstrate techniques, organize drills and games, and adjust instruction for different ages and skill levels.
* Supervise participants, manage behavior, and follow safety procedures during activities.
* Communicate with children, students, families, and team members about progress, expectations, and safety.
* Support team leadership and participation, drawing on sports team experience and childcare or health club settings as appropriate.

*Requirements*

* Sports license issued by the Puerto Rico Department of Recreation and Sports (DRD).
* Current adult and child CPR and First Aid certifications.
* Recreational Leader certification preferred.
* Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with children, youth, and adults in sports, coaching, instruction, or recreational activities.
* Knowledge or experience in at least one of the following sports: basketball & volleyball,

Pay: From $* per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
