Electrical Engineer

We are seeking for an Electrical Engineer (Professional Engineer) responsible for conducting *field inspections and PREPA/LUMA coordination* in different types of Construction Projects on various government agencies. Their tasks include collaborating closely with all parties involved in areas of quality control, inspections, project certifications, submittals, request for information, claims review, closeout as well as project resources, timelines, and budgets. You will also perform administrative duties, such as coordination with PREPA and LUMA permits and works, site visit reports, evaluating contractor invoices and acting as a point of contact and owner representative, as well as a variety of coordinating activities, such as weekly meetings, reviewing of change orders & schedules, shutdowns and among others as required by the project. The position is for work as needed in different projects, as same time and inside the time (hours) established in our Contract. And is perfect for a part-time professional.

*Responsibilities*

* Inspects works of underground ductbanks, handholes, grounding, panelboards, and exterior lighting.
* Witnesses' electrical tests and coordinates with PREPA/LUMA.
* Operates to the highest standards of ethics and performs job efficiently.
* Follow Safety standards and all company and regulatory safety practices.
* Assists with additional tasks as needed.
* Applicants must be able to work independently with minimal or no supervision and in a fast-paced environment.
* Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
* Must be flexible with the ability to accept changes in directions on short notice.
* Perform inspections in active construction environments.
* Work outside of working hours and days as required on project needs.
* Ability to walk construction sites, climb stairs, and access elevated structures.
* Ability to carry inspection tools and equipment as required.

*Experience*

* At least five (5) years of experience in exterior lighting and underground electrical distribution and coordination with PREPA/LUMA.
* Field experience is highly required.
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or better.
* Active Professional Engineer licensed in Puerto Rico.
* Dominance of Microsoft Office software.
* Excellent communication and technical skills for collaboration with team members, stakeholders and outside parties.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
* Valid driver's license.
* Fully Bilingual.
