Pharmacy Technician

*Description*

*Farmacia San Pedro*, with locations in *Yauco and Lajas, Puerto Rico*, is seeking committed, responsible, and service-oriented *Pharmacy Technicians* to join our team.

We are looking for professionals who want to grow in a stable, dynamic work environment focused on providing excellent service to our patients. The position may be available at *either our Yauco or Lajas location*, depending on operational needs and candidate availability.

You will work alongside pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, assisting with prescription processing, patient service, inventory management, and the various daily functions of a community pharmacy.

Responsibilities

* Process and prepare prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
* Accurately enter and maintain patient and prescription information.
* Use the *Wescom West* pharmacy system for prescription processing and other pharmacy-related tasks.
* Assist with the dispensing and delivery of medications.
* Provide courteous, professional, and efficient patient service.
* Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
* Handle phone calls and assist patients with their needs, referring clinical questions to the pharmacist when appropriate.
* Receive, organize, and maintain medication and product inventory.
* Monitor expiration dates and ensure medications are stored under appropriate conditions.
* Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
* Comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing pharmacy practice in Puerto Rico.
* Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to maintain an efficient workflow and provide an excellent patient experience.

Requirements

* Current and valid *Pharmacy Technician license and registration in Puerto Rico*.
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a community or retail pharmacy setting.
* Knowledge of medications, medical terminology, and pharmacy procedures.
* Experience with computerized pharmacy systems; knowledge of *Wescom West* is highly preferred.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Strong sense of responsibility, organization, and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Availability to work varying schedules, including weekends, based on the operational needs of the pharmacy.
