IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST – IBM I / AS400 & RPG EXPERIENCE
Location: Carolina, Puerto Rico
We are currently seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join an established company in Carolina, Puerto Rico. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hands-on experience supporting IBM i systems, and knowledge of RPG programming and business software applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IBM i systems and related business applications.
Monitor, maintain, and support software applications and system operations.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and system-related issues.
Support users with technical questions, system access, and application functionality.
Identify, investigate, and resolve system errors and operational issues.
Work with RPG-based applications and assist with troubleshooting and system maintenance.
Help maintain system reliability, performance, and data integrity.
Document technical issues, resolutions, and support procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth daily IT operations.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with IBM i systems, software applications, and RPG.
Strong knowledge of IBM i / AS400 environments.
Experience providing IT support, troubleshooting, and software system maintenance.
Familiarity with RPG programming and business application environments.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent Spanish communication skills; bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Starting salary: $72,000 annually, plus benefits.
