We are currently recruiting an experienced
General Manager
to lead the operations of an established Puerto Rico-based manufacturing organization undergoing an important stage of growth and transformation. This executive will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the business, leading manufacturing and support functions while driving operational excellence, financial performance, organizational development, and sustainable growth. The operation serves highly regulated industries and manages a complex, high-mix manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall day-to-day operations of the organization.
- Drive business performance across P&L, cash flow, budgets, margins, productivity, capital investments, and ROI.
- Lead manufacturing, supply chain, materials management, planning, quality, facilities, HR, and related operational functions.
- Develop and execute strategic and operational plans in partnership with executive leadership.
- Strengthen organizational structures, systems, processes, and management capabilities to support continued growth.
- Drive continuous improvement, productivity, waste reduction, capacity utilization, and on-time delivery.
- Ensure strong quality systems, regulatory compliance, traceability, and operational discipline.
- Leverage ERP/MIS systems and operational data to improve visibility, decision-making, profitability, and performance.
- Lead, develop, and mentor management teams while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
- Represent the organization with key customers, suppliers, financial institutions, and strategic partners. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field) required.
- Significant leadership experience within manufacturing operations, ideally with full site or business-unit responsibility.
- Experience working within multinational organizations or sophisticated operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical and/or medical device manufacturing environments, including quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Experience managing high-mix, high-SKU operations.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including experience with P&L, capital allocation, budgeting, and ROI.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing large teams.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
