POSITION SUMMARY
The Happiness Specialist is responsible for assisting clients within the Community Liaison and Concierge Service Division.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Relocation assistance including welcoming clients’ employees and their families, to ensure as smooth an integration as possible into the life in Puerto Rico; following up to check that the settling in process is working; being a source of referral and support where questions, problems and difficulties arise; providing clients’ employees induction training.
- Establish contact with community organizations and serve as liaison between the Puerto Rico community and clients’ employees on issues such as but not limited to housing, utilities, Department of Treasury, motor vehicle department, medical, employment, etc.
- Information gathering for clients’ employees, their families, and spouses/ partners (including those not yet in Puerto Rico) – primarily on spouse/ partner employment; child and adult education; care and training opportunities; recreational facilities; and other social matters.
- Develop social and cultural programs and develop informational resources for recreation programs designed to meet the needs of all assigned clients’ employees and to enhance morale.
- Develop and maintain an information center for clients’ employees and their families, providing specific information regarding living in Puerto Rico, contribute to or publish a monthly newsletter, and provide information gathered in electronic media to be placed on the appropriate website.
- Set up community accessible resources and files specific to Puerto Rico including cross-cultural awareness training; family orientations; medical facilities; housing; language training; tax service/assistance; day care provider assistance; family member employment counseling and referral services; customer service liaison programs with the local utilities and other service providers, education, security, etc.
- Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all related agencies, vendors, and merchants.
- Establish and maintain liaison with community organizations and local resources that can benefit clients’ employees.
- Coordinate morale-enhancing seminars and workshops organized by other groups or individuals
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve customer problems.
- Obtain comprehensive understanding of clients’ needs and utilize the knowledge in engagements.
- Other duties as required. Language:
- Ability to write and speak fluently in both Spanish and English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Employer with Equal Opportunity
