The Coca-Cola Company is seeking an Automation Manager to lead day-to-day automation execution at the Cidra manufacturing site. This role is responsible for leading the Automation Technicians team and ensuring strong plant-floor automation support, controls reliability, technical troubleshooting, and execution of local automation improvements.
Reporting to the NA Senior Automation Manager, this position partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and IT/OT to support operational continuity, resolve recurring technical issues, and strengthen the site’s automation capability.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and develop the Automation Technicians team
• Oversee daily automation support for manufacturing, packaging, utilities, and related systems
• Drive troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and sustainable corrective actions
• Prioritize technical work and coordinate with key plant stakeholders
• Execute local automation projects, modifications, testing, commissioning, and operational handoff
• Maintain technical documentation, backups, and recovery readiness
• Coordinate OT cybersecurity-related risks and requirements with IT/OT and specialized support resources
• Escalate major architecture, lifecycle, and exception decisions through NA Automation governance Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
• 5–10 years of experience in industrial automation, controls, engineering, or maintenance in a manufacturing environment
• Strong hands-on experience with PLCs, HMI/SCADA, instrumentation, VFDs, industrial networks, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with Ignition required
• Working knowledge of SAP as an end user for maintenance-management activities
• C1 English proficiency required
• Proven ability to lead technical personnel and manage competing operational priorities Role Scope This position serves as the automation leader for the Cidra site, with responsibility for local execution, site reliability, and technical team leadership within the broader NA Automation standards and governance model.
