Salesforce Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Salesforce Development Manager to lead our Salesforce engineering team and oversee end-to-end environment and release lifecycles. In this critical leadership role, you will manage a team of Salesforce developers and administrators while steering the architectural direction of our Salesforce platform. You will own the entire DevOps and deployment strategy, ensuring that features, custom applications, and platform updates are released into production seamlessly, securely, and with zero business disruption.

Key Responsibilities
• Team Leadership & Delivery: Manage, mentor, and allocate resources for an on-site team of Salesforce developers and administrators to deliver high-quality business features.
• Release Management & Governance: Own the Salesforce release management strategy, including environment strategy (sandboxes to production), branching strategies, and coordination of enterprise release deployment windows.
• DevOps Pipelines: Establish, automate, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines tailored specifically for Salesforce metadata and data tracking.
• Technical Architecture: Guide solution designs, review code quality (Apex, LWC), and enforce governance limits, security standards, and platform best practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, business analysts, and QA teams to translate complex business requirements into technical release schedules.
• Environment Management: Oversee sandbox synchronization, tracking of environment refreshes, and resolution of metadata deployment conflicts or rollback procedures. Required Qualifications

Experience:
Minimum of 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, with at least 2+ years in a leadership, technical lead, or manager capacity.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Release & DevOps Expertise: Proven experience managing complex, multi-sandbox Salesforce deployments using tools like Copado, Gearset, Flosum, or Salesforce CLI / SFDX combined with Git-based source control (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Technical Depth: Solid foundational understanding of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, Flow automation, and Salesforce integration APIs (REST/SOAP).
• Agile Frameworks: Strong proficiency in managing delivery lifecycles using Agile/Scrum methodologies and enterprise tracking tools like Jira.
• Communication & Management: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of managing technical technical talent and explaining deployment risks to business stakeholders.
• Work Arrangement: Must be fully available to work physically on-site. Preferred Qualifications
• Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle and Deployment Designer, Certified Platform Developer II (PD2), or Certified Application/System Architect.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise ERP systems or third-party middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi).
• Knowledge of Data Masking, Backup/Recovery tools (e.g., OwnBackup), and automated apex testing tools.
