Role Description The Construction Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in San Juan, responsible for supervising daily construction activities and coordinating site operations. This position leads and directs field crews, assigns tasks, and monitors progress to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. The Foreman oversees the use of tools, materials, and heavy equipment, supports adherence to safety protocols, and conducts regular site inspections. The role includes communicating with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors, resolving on-site issues, and maintaining accurate records of labor, materials, and project status. The Construction Foreman also helps implement best practices, mentors team members, and supports continuous improvement on the job site. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong Carpentry skills and practical building experience in commercial or residential construction.
• Candidates should possess Quality Control abilities, including inspecting work for compliance with specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Candidates should possess experience with Heavy Equipment operations or coordination, ensuring proper and safe use of machinery on site.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with crews, subcontractors, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess a basic understanding of Civil Engineering concepts relevant to site layout, structures, and materials.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience as a foreman or supervisor, knowledge of OSHA or local safety regulations, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training or certification in construction management or a related field is preferred.
