The Pest Control Officer will support the site’s Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for day-to-day pest prevention, monitoring, inspection, and control activities while ensuring compliance with site procedures, GMP, EHS, and environmental requirements. The role will also support EHS Environmental activities related to pest control operations, including chemical handling, storage, disposal, documentation, and environmental compliance. Responsibilities
• Perform routine inspections of manufacturing, warehouse, utility, and exterior areas to identify pest activity, environmental conditions, and potential sources of infestation.
• Execute pest prevention, monitoring, and control activities in accordance with established IPM procedures.
• Maintain and monitor pest control devices, traps, and related equipment.
• Document inspections, pest activity, treatments, findings, and corrective actions accurately and timely.
• Support investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions related to pest control or environmental findings.
• Support EHS Environmental activities associated with pest control operations, including chemical handling, storage, disposal, and environmental compliance.
• Ensure pest control materials and related waste are properly handled and disposed of in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Collaborate with EHS, Quality, Facilities, and other site functions to address pest control and environmental-related findings.
• Support audits and inspections by maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
• Follow all applicable GMP, EHS, safety, environmental, and site-specific procedures. Qualifications
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of pest prevention, monitoring, and control practices.
• Knowledge or experience supporting environmental, EHS, chemical handling, or waste management activities preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential environmental and pest-related risks.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate activities with cross-functional teams.
• Certified Pest Management Professional certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment and follow established procedures.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) both spoken and written.
