Job DescriptionPosition: Radiation OncologistLocation: San Juan, PR 00921Duration: 03 months to long term Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMOn-Call Coverage: Required during all clinic closuresPrimary Duties & Responsibilities•    Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, document treatment details, order necessary tests, and obtain informed consent.•    Create goal-oriented radiation treatment plans, ensure peer review, and adjust plans as needed.•    Justify, prescribe, and accurately deliver advanced radiation treatments per ASTRO/AAPM standards.•    Manage treatments through weekly exams, monitoring, documentation, and participation in chart rounds and case conferences.•    Perform post-treatment follow-ups, document findings promptly, and obtain COR approval for new radiation series.•    Prepare comprehensive end-of-treatment summaries with dose delivered, patient status, instructions, and follow-up schedule.•    Ensure radiation safety and compliance by maintaining protocols and protecting patients and staff per VA, ACR, ASTRO, and AAPM standards.Board Certification•    Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Radiation Oncology.•    Must maintain active certification throughout the contract period.•    Continuing education must remain fully current.Required Documentation•    Evidence of unrestricted licensure in Radiation Oncology.•    Active ABR Radiation Oncology Certification.•    Completion of Radiation Oncology residency (education verification).•    Confirmation that provider is not on the OIG Exclusion List.•    Proof of indemnification and medical liability insurance.•    Evidence of meeting VA privileging requirements.•    Full malpractice claim history.•    Complying with facility bylaws, policies, protocols, and safety standardsExperience Requirements •    Prescribing radiation treatment regimens aimed at cure or disease control while minimizing risk to normal tissue•    Delivering accurate and consistent radiation therapy•    Performing consultations, dose prescriptions, on-treatment supervision, and treatment summary reports•    Working with QA processes related to treatment planning systems•    Collaborating with multidisciplinary teammates (physicists, dosimetrists, therapists)•    Using advanced modalities including 3D-conformal, VMAT, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and/or SRS•    Meeting continuing education requirements consistently
