Job Description Summary

Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:

The Associate Project Engineer will provide technical support to the assigned areas or projects. Will analyze, develop and troubleshoot manufacturing activities to improve process, product quality and costs. Full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, coordinating and carrying out technical assignments/programs with extensive and diversified requirements.

Essential Job Functions

Analyzes production and material problems
Develops and executes effective engineering solutions
Optimizes the process specifications and procedures for proper design, manufacturing and inspection parameters
Designs and modify manufacturing tooling drawings
Identifies and executes cost improvement projects
Evaluates new design and processes, and recommends changes as required
Develops and/or executes product or technology transfer projects. Projects may involve process transfers (site-to-site) or design transfer (design-to-site)
Develops and implements into production product and process improvements
Develops and executes qualification protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ). Ensures all related documentation is in compliance with the Company's Quality Policies
Trains manufacturing operators, maintenance personnel and/or any employees assigned to new technologies and processes being implemented into the organization
Complies with cGMP's, ISO, Safety Health, Quality Standards, Statistical regulations and established policies and/or procedures
Leads Product Transfers projects following corporate and site guidelines
Assures is trained before performing any task
Uses the required clothes, personal and security protective equipment according to the requirements of its operation
Complies with Federal, local laws and FDA regulations
Executes other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Basic Qualifications

Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) and must have good communication skills both oral and written.
Team work oriented
Basic knowledge and experience in packaging methods such as: heat-sealing thermoforming and thermoplastic
Knowledge in GMP's, ISO, Safety Health and Statistical regulations.
P.C. Literate

Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills And Knowledge

PE License or EIT Registration (desirable)
Project Management knowledge and skills

Education And/or Experience

B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering (other engineering disciplines allowed)
Minimum three (3+) years experience, preferably in the Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Devices Manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

Hours of operation are flexible and vary depending on job requirements. Typical work week is 40 hours with additional/variable work hours for specific work periods and projects. Specific work days and hours are flexible and may change with advance notice
The nature of the work requires occasional exposure to chemicals, noise, machinery and non-ionizing radiation.

Job Summary

The Associate Project Engineer will support project managers and senior engineers in the planning, execution, and closing of engineering projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate and track project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
Participate in design reviews, problem-solving sessions, and risk assessments.
Support the procurement process by assisting with vendor selection and contract management.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and propose solutions.
Conduct site visits and inspections as required.
Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial) or a related technical field.
0-2 years of experience in an engineering or project-related role.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., MS Project).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
