Job Description
We are seeking a System Administrators, to form part of Inteldot's Managed Services Providers (MSP) unit. The core mission is to sustain the uninterrupted operation of our clients' business critical processes. By bridging business objectives with technological capabilities, the team supports the ever-growing demands for efficiency, compliance, and reliability across highly regulated and other critical operational environments.
As the first responders to technical needs, the System Administrator will analyze and resolves incidents to minimize downtime. Rigorous performance management, proactive risk mitigation, and adherence to IT infrastructure library (ITIL) principles are at the heart of ensuring business continuity. Through robust evaluation and ongoing improvement, the Systems Administrators play a pivotal role in safeguarding core production while maximizing opportunities for operational enhancement.
Essential Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve performance or capability gaps between business requirements and IT/OT system functionality, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Respond to, analyze, and resolve system incidents based on business priorities and risk management protocols.
- Lead root cause analyses for recurring or high-impact incidents through methodical investigation of system logs, audit trails, and error outputs.
- Support patching, hotfix validation, and maintenance activities in coordination with vendors and system owners.
- Configure systems in alignment with client procedures while upholding Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and quality standards.
- Manage user access and permissions within manufacturing systems, enforcing compliance with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) a framework that assigns system access based on defined Roles rather than individual users ensuring each person has only the privileges necessary to perform their job functions. Support periodic access reviews and escalate discrepancies or violations to security or quality teams.
- Ensure the timely generation and validation of system and business data reports, maintaining accuracy, integrity, and compliance with quality or regulatory standards.
- Perform and support basic CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations in SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure data accessibility and integrity across integrated applications.
- Provide coaching and technical guidance to L1 OT/IT Systems Support Specialists, validate escalations, and ensure SOP standardization and best practice reuse across clients.
- Collaborate with MSP unit Leaders to ensure process consistency and knowledge alignment across client environments.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients to manage expectations and ensure service outcomes.
- Promote cybersecurity best practices and promptly escalate detected anomalies or potential threats.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, documentation updates, and knowledge sharing activities across the team.
- Maintains knowledge management internal program by documenting, sharing, and improving technical and procedural information to enhance team performance.
Required Skills and Abilities

- Strong communicator clear, concise, and bilingual (English/Spanish) able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Works independently and collaboratively, effectively prioritizing tasks in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
- Comprehensive understanding of IT/OT environments, including the Manufacturing Automation Pyramid (ERP, MES, SCADA, PLC, DCS, Data Historian) and key service management practices (change, incident, problem, and service desk operations).
Education and Experience:
- Must have experience as a Database Oracle System Administrator
- 3+ years of experience working with OT/IT in regulated industries.
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent industry-recognized certifications or demonstrable professional knowledge.
- Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies, including SQL servers.
- Familiarity with network structures, concepts, and operational troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of SQL, XML, or similar data-centric programming or markup languages.
- Compliance with regulated environments working under industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, NIST
- Exposure to scripting, PowerShell, Unix/Linux, and various secure code editors and file transfer tools (e.g., Putty, WinSCP).
- Preferred certifications in AWS Cloud Practitioner, Solution Architect or AI Practitioner
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to work 12 hours non continuously during on-call service.
Special Requirements:
- Shift hours may change according to clients' needs.
- Willingness to participate in company-provided training and complete relevant industry certification programs.
- Ability and readiness to travel outside Puerto Rico.
