Project Manager-Pharma
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Project Manager to lead and oversee complex projects across various departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to manage project lifecycle from initiation to closure. This role requires expertise in project management methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall, and SAFe, along with proficiency in tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, and SharePoint. The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, mitigate risks, and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations. This position offers an opportunity to drive strategic initiatives and contribute to the organization's growth through effective program development and process improvement.
Duties
* Lead end-to-end project management including scope management, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation using tools like Primavera P6, Smartsheet, and Project Server.
* Develop detailed project plans encompassing requirements gathering, process mapping, risk management, and quality management strategies.
* Facilitate meetings for project planning, status updates, conflict resolution, and stakeholder communication to ensure alignment across teams.
* Apply change management principles and Lean Six Sigma methodologies such as Kaizen and 5S to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues impacting project timelines or quality; implement corrective actions accordingly.
* Manage project portfolio through program development and program management practices; oversee multiple projects simultaneously ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.
* Utilize project management software including Jira, Confluence, Workday, ServiceNow, and PPM tools for tracking progress and documentation.
* Coordinate vendor relationships and manage contracts to ensure deliverables meet specifications.
* Implement earned value management techniques for performance measurement; monitor project scope changes using scope management practices.
* Lead product development initiatives or IT infrastructure projects by applying technical knowledge alongside business process modeling skills.
* Ensure compliance with organizational standards such as PMBOK or PRINCE2; adapt methodologies like Scrum or Kanban based on project needs.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in supervising teams and managing multiple projects within a fast-paced environment.
* 5+ years experience in Pharma industry.
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile (SAFe), Waterfall, Lean, Six Sigma, and risk/risk mitigation strategies.
* Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, Confluence, Basecamp or equivalent tools.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle requirements analysis, scope management, time management, cost control, and budgeting effectively.
* Demonstrated expertise in business process modeling, requirements gathering/requirements analysis, process mapping, and content management systems.
* Exceptional communication skills for presentation delivery and stakeholder engagement; capable of facilitating meetings effectively.
* Technical background or experience with IT infrastructure projects or product lifecycle management is preferred.
* Relevant certifications such as PMP®, PgMP®, PMI-ACP®, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are highly desirable.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
