*The Role*
We are seeking a Head of Business Development to build and lead our growth engine. You will be responsible for establishing high-trust relationships with Private Equity firms (specifically Partners) and converting those relationships into signed client engagements for our M&A corporate development and post-merger integration services.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Targeting & Strategy:* Build and maintain a target list of PE firms; map key decision-makers including Partners and Portfolio Operations leaders.
* *Outbound Execution:* Drive multi-channel outreach (LinkedIn, email, warm introductions, and industry events) to secure discovery calls.
* *Discovery & Qualification:* Lead discovery sessions to identify firm needs and articulate Xpertegic's value proposition in clear, professional terms.
* *Pipeline Management:* Oversee the full sales lifecycle within the CRM, ensuring accurate forecasting, stage tracking, and reporting.
* *Closing & Proposals:* Partner with firm leadership to develop tailored proposals and navigate the closing process with new clients.
* *Account Growth:* Manage post-sale relationships to identify opportunities for renewals and service expansion within PE accounts.
* *Playbook Development:* Design and document the business development process (messaging, cadences, and reporting structures) to support future scaling.
*What We Are Looking For*
* *Proven Track Record:* A minimum of 10 years experience selling high-trust, high-ticket professional services (e.g., consulting, advisory, legal, or financial services). Exposure to the Private Equity ecosystem is highly preferred.
* *Sales Proficiency:* Strong outbound skills with the ability to navigate complex organizations and comfortably ask for executive-level introductions.
* *Communication:* Exceptional writing and verbal skills; ability to produce crisp recap notes and professional proposals.
* *Executive Presence:* Confident in executive-level rooms and at industry events; able to serve as a professional face of the firm.
* *Builder Mindset:* A self-starter who enjoys creating systems and repeatable processes rather than just following a pre-existing script.
* *Technical Familiarity:* Proficiency with HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus, but not required.
