Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting a team of nurses and nurse practitioners in delivering exceptional patient care through remote monitoring and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with a team to remotely monitor patients' vital signs and address alerts as needed.
  2. Communicate with patients, conveying empathy and professionalism, and remind them to take required measurements.
  3. Maintain patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  4. Manage incoming calls, providing support and answering patient inquiries.
  5. Perform data entry tasks in Salesforce and use EMR systems to input and manage patient data.
  6. Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as required.
  7. Schedule virtual patient appointments and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.

Requirements

  • Bilingual - English, Cantonese, Mandarin.
  • Certification from a recognized Medical Assistant program.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in using EMR systems, experience in AdvancedMD a plus.
  • Strong grasp of patient care procedures and medical terminology.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage patient records and appointment scheduling.
  • Exceptional customer service skills to provide empathetic and supportive patient interactions.
