Division Leader

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Division Leader to join our team at the Shorefront YM-YWHA of Brighton-Manhattan Beach, Inc. (SFY). As a Division Leader, you will be responsible for leading a group of staff and campers, planning and implementing daily activities, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a group of staff and campers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and implement daily activities, including games, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures.
• Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive team environment.
• Communicate effectively with staff, campers, and parents to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
• Monitor and enforce safety regulations and policies.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on program developments and best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 18 years of age (over 18 years old preferred).
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, co-workers, volunteers, members, and parents.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work as a team and lead by example.
• Flexibility and willingness to adjust tasks in accordance with changing priorities.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work in an outside and inside environment, with different temperature extremes.
• Ability to get in the swimming pool and beach to supervise during swimming times.
