Job Summary:
Adelante Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As an essential member of our OB/GYN department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of quality ultrasound procedures, including OB/GYN ultrasounds.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including OB/GYN ultrasounds, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide education to patients on ultrasound procedures and results.
- Scan patients according to provider orders and document findings in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, respecting patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Responsible for environment and equipment care and maintenance, adhering to universal precautions and infection control guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide patient-centered care and improve health outcomes.
- Mentor students, Associate Ultrasound Technologists, and less experienced technologists to ensure knowledge transfer and development.
Requirements:
- Completion of formal ultrasound technology training, certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- ARDMS certification in OB/GYN and 5+ years of experience as an OB/GYN ultrasound technologist.
- High school diploma or GED, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CPR certification and a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with excellent business English, spelling, and punctuation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills.
