About the Job:
TelevisaUnivision is seeking a skilled Camera Operator to join our Production Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Main responsibility is to work independently or as part of a team, record raw video and audio, and turn it into a finished product.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and adapt to changing schedules.
- Ability to understand news and be news literate.
- Will drive news vehicles and/or live-transmission vehicles, and operate production equipment.
Requirements:
- 0-1 years of experience in recording and editing for broadcast and station news.
- Proficient in English and Spanish, written and oral.
- Proficient with MAC and PC platforms, Adobe Creative software, and knowledge of Final Cut Pro.
- Above-average computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
- High School Graduate with some college preferred.
- Bonus points for knowledge of news operations and practices.
Work Environment:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, edit, reach, and sit for up to 8 hours.
- Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
