Cardiology Physician

Job Summary: Advantagecare Physicians is seeking a Cardiology Physician to provide Cardiology services including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance. This position involves a wide range of non-invasive Cardiology procedures and requires a strong understanding of cardiovascular diseases.

Responsibilities:

• Review patient medical history and perform physical examination.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care for disorders and diseases of the cardiovascular system.
• Perform non-invasive Cardiology procedures, including echocardiography and stress echo testing.
• Pacemaker and Defibrillator monitoring.
• Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.
• Recommend suitable management for the patient, including preventive health recommendations and habits.
• Provide relationship-centered care, taking into account the patient's psychosocial and physical needs.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
• Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care.
• Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.

Requirements:

• One to three years of cardiology clinical experience in an outpatient setting.
• Ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of cardiology conditions and improve patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate competency in diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained.
• Patient-centered approach toward a positive patient experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Interest in Population Health Management.
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiology Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, or Echocardiography with a preference for Level II or Level III COCATS certification.
• Current, unrestricted New York State license.
• Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility for registration.
• Active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or eligibility to enroll.
• BLS or ACLS certification required (both strongly preferred).
• Strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
