About the Role

CAMBA is seeking a highly skilled LMSW Consultant to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our Family Shelter Services department, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations to assess and diagnose clients with mental health, behavioral, emotional, or addiction disorders.
  • Work closely with shelter teams to schedule and complete evaluations, ensuring timely and effective support for clients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, providing referrals and follow-up services as needed.
  • Collaborate with social service teams to ensure comprehensive support for clients, including case management and documentation.
  • Travel to different shelter locations in various boroughs to provide services and support.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) or Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) from the New York State Education Department.
  • At least 2 years of experience in administering and documenting psychiatric evaluations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
