About the Role

The Outpatient Pharmacy Department at Boston Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients by preparing and distributing medications, operating and monitoring pharmacy automated technology systems, maintaining inventory, performing daily quality assurance audits, and providing customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute medications in a timely and accurate manner
  • Operate and monitor pharmacy automated technology systems
  • Maintain inventory and perform daily quality assurance audits
  • Provide customer service and maintain pharmacy records
  • Assist in training staff under the supervision of the Pharmacy Managers and Pharmacy Technician Supervisor

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MA Board of Pharmacy
  • National certification from Pharmacy Tech Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam of Certified Pharmacy Techs (exCPT)
  • 6 months - 1 year of work experience preferred
