We are seeking a talented Signal Processing Engineer to join our team at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative signal processing solutions for a variety of electronic warfare systems.



The ideal candidate will have a strong background in signal processing and a passion for working with complex systems. You will be working closely with our team of engineers and researchers to develop cutting-edge solutions for the nation's most pressing challenges.



Responsibilities:





  • Develop novel signal processing concepts to defeat enemy radar and communication systems.


  • Study current and future radar and communication systems and evaluate their performance.


  • Participate in the end-to-end modeling and performance evaluation of new systems being designed.


  • Participate in prototyping of new concepts.


  • Brief sponsors and internal APL staff.



Qualifications:





  • A Master's degree in engineering with a concentration in signal processing or another related discipline.


  • At least five years of relevant experience related to signal processing design and analysis.


  • Strong MATLAB or Python programming experience.


  • Taken coursework in estimation and detection theory, communication systems, statistical signal processing or equivalent.


  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a TS/SCI level security clearance.
