The Heart & Vascular Service Line at Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan is seeking a dynamic and experienced Cardiovascular Surgery Specialist to join their team of 10 surgeons and three regional hospitals. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly ranked and respected program performing the full gamut of adult cardiac surgical cases with a focus on patient centric, collaborative, collegial, multidisciplinary team-based care. In addition to excellent traditional cardiac surgical expertise, Corewell Health is seeking a candidate with significant experience in LVAD implantation, including expertise in patient selection, peri- and post-operative management, and ability to expertly address long-term complications that require surgical intervention. This position will work closely with the advanced heart failure cardiology teams at Corewell Health to deliver top decile results with expectations for volume growth. The ideal candidate must be a team-player with high EQ, have a proven track record of clinical excellence, have exceptional communication skills, and possess the ability to function effectively in a highly matrixed environment. An academic appointment at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine will be based on interest and scholastic achievement. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations.
