MEP Project Manager Job Description

At Adilstone Group, we are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that building systems are properly integrated, functional, and safe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze data to determine the feasibility of design or application.
  • Participate in the estimating process for customer design proposals.
  • Analyze subcontractor proposals to confirm that criteria are being satisfied.
  • Participate in contract negotiations with subcontractors and vendors for various trades.
  • Review construction documents from subcontractors to confirm compliance with the scope.
  • Coordinate design and engineering efforts.
  • Monitor and report on the financial status of the project(s).
  • Handle subcontract and contract administration.
  • Ensure that construction progress aligns with the project schedule per the MEP requirements.
  • Review construction work performed by subcontractors to ensure it meets the scope of work.
  • Purchase and monitor the delivery of all needed materials for the project(s).
  • Participate in reviewing and approving subcontractor and vendor payment requests.
  • Issue changes in work to obtain timely pricing from subcontractors.
  • Work with design and engineering managers to ensure the project(s) is/are designed, procured, and constructed within operating guidelines.
  • Visit job sites as needed to review progress and quality of work.
  • Collaborate with the overall Project Manager to verify the monthly Red File report for the MEP.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with the scope of work.
  • Responsible for the communication, implementation, and enforcement of the company's safety program on-site.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience and/or training.
  • MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Project Manager experience in data center architecture, engineering, or construction.
  • Possess knowledge of mechanical, piping, or electrical trades.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications.
  • Proficiency in programs for calculating loads and performing cost analysis.
