Environmental Test Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities- Assist in evaluating comprehensive test requirements and implementing standards for Missile Defense Agency and other government programs
- Participate in requirements tailoring and implementation, assessing system design options and performance tradeoffs
- Provide technical assessments of acoustics, shock, vibration analysis, test requirements, and data results
- Develop and implement test plans and procedures, and evaluate qualification test plans and procedures
- Lead and coordinate teams of technical contributors, and initiate and manage project teams as needed
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, such as mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Minimum 8 years of industry-related experience in structural mechanics engineering
- Strong technical leadership skills and familiarity with analytical and test techniques for shock, vibration, and acoustics environments
- Experience with applying, editing, tailoring, and maintaining shock, vibration, and acoustics environmental standards
- Ability to build and lead interdisciplinary teams, and foster effective interpersonal relationships with management, peers, and customers
- Advanced degree in a STEM field or related discipline, with experience related to structural mechanics engineering
- Experience with Missile Defense Agency customer programs
- Familiarity with SMC-S-016 and other military test standards
The Aerospace Corporation offers a competitive compensation package, including a grade-based pay range of $117,300 - $226,900. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health care and wellness plans, paid holidays and time off, and a 401(k) plan with company matching contributions.
