Job Description
As a Housekeeper/Porter at our luxury resort, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities. This includes cleaning rooms and halls, vacuuming, mopping, moving furniture, and setting up dining areas for events.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of related experience and/or training
- Commitment to complete short-term seasonal contract from March to November 30th
- Valid ID and ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug test
- Reliable work history
Additional Responsibilities
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas to meet health standards
- Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to disposal areas
- Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items
- Maintain storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment
- Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors using brooms, mops, or powered machines
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork as needed
- Move tables, chairs, and other furniture to set up for events
