Overhire Stagehand

The Office of the Arts at Emerson College is seeking a reliable and skilled Theater Technician to join our Overhire list. This position involves assisting in the setup, support, and takedown of theatrical shows and live events, as well as general theater maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist production staff in setting up and supporting theatrical shows and live events
• Perform general theater maintenance tasks
• Work collaboratively with diverse teams and may be asked to work cross-departmentally

Requirements:

• Ability to work nights, weekends, and potential long shifts
• Ability to lift 50lb or more
• Basic experience or familiarity with hand tools
• Excellent attitude and a desire to learn

Work Environment:

Pay Rates: $19/hour base rate $22.50/hour for Operator positions (Sound Board Op, Light Board Op, Flyperson, etc.)
