Lead Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technologist

The Lead Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technologist plays a crucial role in the interventional cardiovascular team, serving as the lead person for assigned shifts. This position requires a high level of clinical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication to ensure exceptional patient care and adherence to standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities- Organize work schedules and make work assignments to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient throughput.
- Review and edit time cards for accuracy, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Conduct quality assurance audits of staff performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and implement quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety.
- Train and mentor staff, providing feedback on performance and developmental needs.
- Participate in the development of skills and performance of staff, ensuring they meet the highest standards of practice.
- Lead and perform special projects, collecting and analyzing data to inform decision-making.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist.
- Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role, or HM experience and performance that demonstrates leadership abilities.
- RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI) or RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (CCI) certification.
- BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) and ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA) certification.
