Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers with patient care and procedures
- Facilitate efficient patient flow through the clinic or medical office
- Communicate with patients and families regarding test results, surgery schedules, and procedures
- Update and access patient information using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent medical office practice experience
- National third-party certification, such as AMCA, AAMA, AMT, CCMA, or NCMA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and/or health-related computer software
- Fluency in a language other than English and medical interpreting skills are preferred
