Structural Steel Fabricator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Material Handler/Runner to join our team at Ohio Steel Industries Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely handling, storing, and transporting structural steel materials in and around our fabrication facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pull parts and materials needed for production.
• Transport structural steel materials, including beams, columns, and plates, using equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and overhead cranes.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts by tracking incoming and outgoing materials.
• Help maintain an organized material storage area.
• Assist with loading and unloading truck trailers and other vehicles with structural materials.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Prior experience in material handling in a structural steel environment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to material handling.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
