We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Technician to join our team at Mount Sinai Health System. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into specified positions.
- Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and minimize radiation to patients and staff.
- Process radiographs, observe radiographic results, and make necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality images.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Maintain radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Contribute to a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory CME requirements and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of radiation protection techniques and safety protocols.
