Environmental Planner Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Planner to join our team at Surf To Snow Environmental Resource Management, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about the environment and wants to make a meaningful contribution to our company's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in identifying environmental compliance requirements and developing strategies to maintain compliance and protect the environment.
  • Develop planning documents, including CEQA/NEPA, compliance reviews, mitigation monitoring reports, and other related materials.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Travel and overnight travel may be required, typically with advanced notice.

Qualifications:

  • BS or BA degree in an environmental discipline, sciences, or engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in environmental planning.
  • Direct experience and knowledge of environmental regulations, including CEQA and NEPA planning documents.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented and accountable, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage concurrent responsibilities.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
