About the Role

As a Senior Research Scientist, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and interpreting biological studies to identify new drug targets and develop novel compounds. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of experts in molecular biology, computational chemistry, and drug safety sciences to advance our research goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute biological studies to identify new drug targets and develop novel compounds
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to advance research goals
  • Develop and implement biochemical and cell-based assays for compound profiling
  • Support project leaders in the validation of newly synthesized compounds and design of relevant assays
  • Contribute to the development of new treatment options for patients with hematologic cancers
Requirements
  • PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, or Biomedical Sciences, plus a minimum of 5 years postdoctoral experience
  • Strong insight into (hemato)-oncology mechanisms on the biochemistry and molecular biology level
  • Experience with target identification and validation, biochemical and cell-based assay development, and drug target validation
  • Track record of successful development and implementation of strategies and initiatives in (hemato)-oncologic research
  • Excellent project management skills, including prioritization, time management, and progressing research projects
