About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Enrichment Specialist to join our team at Oak Park Elementary School District 97. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the Enrichment and Acceleration program for elementary grade students, providing access to enrichment activities through a push-in co-teaching model, and assisting in the facilitation of the district's Acceleration process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide access to enrichment activities for all students through a push-in co-teaching model
  • Assist in facilitating the district's Acceleration process
  • Plan instruction that integrates core content areas and higher-level thinking skills for all students
  • Collaborate with staff and administration to develop and implement district goals and initiatives
  • Implement differentiated instruction, including learning centers, student choice, integrated units of study, literature circles, project-based instruction, and curriculum compacting
  • Provide project-based instruction as culminating activities, demonstrating real-world application and career education awareness
  • Develop program newsletters and written communications to provide updated information about the program
  • Maintain high expectations for student-directed learning
  • Participate in professional development as approved or assigned
Requirements
  • ISBE Elementary (K-9) Certificate with Middle School endorsement as needed
  • Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy or Math with Type 10 Specialist Certification preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience
  • Demonstrated success in implementing a rigorous instructional program for all students
