Position Summary
The Diesel System Mechanic Specialist is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of all mechanical components for Diesel systems at Plug Power, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install mechanical parts and sheet metal assemblies using basic machine shop tools
• Weld aluminum, carbon, and stainless steel using MIG & TIG processes
• Assemble and troubleshoot 12-volt electro-mechanical systems
• Debug and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic mechanical systems
• Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
• Read mechanical part drawings (a plus)
Requirements:
• High school diploma, plus 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of data collection and statistics
• 2-5 years' experience with commercial trailers with pony motors
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
