Barback Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Barback to join our team at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa. As a Barback, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by ensuring the bar area is well-stocked and maintained. This includes setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and locking doors. You will also be responsible for checking with the captain or supervisor before leaving at the end of your shift.

Key Responsibilities
• Set up, stock, and maintain work areas, including the bar, bar unit, and tables.
• Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
• Remove soiled wares from the bar top and tables.
• Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas, following all set-up guidelines.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Requirements
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
