Environmental Health Services Technician

Purpose and Scope:

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health Services Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a clean, hygienic, and pleasant working environment for the facility.
• Ensure that all areas are properly cleaned and disinfected, especially locations where patients and visitors will be present.
• Clean and maintain all facility equipment, including televisions, computers, HVAC units, and furniture.
• Dispose of waste and recyclables properly, following facility policies and procedures.
• Clean all bathrooms, kitchen areas, waiting areas, break rooms, conference rooms, offices, treatment areas, and storage rooms.
• Sweep, wash, wax, and vacuum all floors as needed.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures related to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Hazard Material Identification System (HMIS) for all chemicals and solutions used at the facility.
• Maintain the cleaning supply area, keeping it organized and properly labeled.
• Report maintenance issues, such as leaking faucets or clogged drains, to the appropriate party.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

May be asked to clean dialysis prep areas using proper cleaning solutions and techniques. Responsible for the documentation, handling, labeling, and dilution of disinfectants used at the facility.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma preferred.
• 0-1 year's prior experience in cleaning/housekeeping preferred.
