Disassembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Disassembly Technician to join our team at Lkq. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for disassembling and reassembling engine heads using precision tools and equipment.

• Read and follow instructions and established procedures to ensure accurate and efficient disassembly and reassembly of engine heads.
• Collect and organize all necessary materials and tools to complete the procedure.
• Use precision tools to measure and assist in the machining and assembly of engine heads.
• Recognize and ensure the correct orientation of complex components.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any issues or malfunctions.
• Keep accurate records of production measurements, quantities, and time.

• Technical knowledge and ability to read instructions, service manuals, specifications, and drawings.
• Ability to use tools and test equipment, including dial indicators, installation tools, torque wrenches, power tools, and bore gauges.
• Good understanding of quality control procedures and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to meet physical requirements, including standing for 9+ hours and lifting 50-55 lb block components.
