Job Summary

We are seeking an Environmental Maintenance and Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental and waste management procedures, as well as maintaining clean and safe facilities.

About the Job

As an Environmental Maintenance and Compliance Specialist, you will:

• Manage hazardous chemicals and carbon absorber materials in accordance with regulations and company policies;
• Collect required data of site requirements and ensure compliance;
• Organize materials to prepare for use and maintain good housekeeping practices;
• Conduct routine rounds on equipment to ensure proper operation and inspect equipment before operating;
• Provide support to facilities maintenance activities, including cleaning facilities, performing maintenance and light repairs, and performing routine landscaping;
• Operate hand trucks, forklifts, diggers, pick-up trucks, and trucks for waste management department functions;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); an associate degree or technical college degree is preferred;
• No experience required, but relevant skills and knowledge are essential;
• The ability to lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;
• Good physical health and the ability to work in various weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and humid conditions, and an odorous atmosphere.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
