Senior Construction Manager

Rural Electric Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Manager to lead our field projects and ensure timely completion within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, finance, and design, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Plan, organize, and staff key field positions through regional department heads.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate policy boundaries.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime clients and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activities.
• Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendents to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Review and compile subordinates' administrative paperwork, including time cards and daily reports, and submit them to the office in a timely manner.
• Represent the company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations and strategy meetings, and assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives.

• 4-year engineering degree or equivalent.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in construction, design, finance, and management.
• Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, influence, and business acumen.
• Class B CDL required.
• Minimum of 12 hours per year of continued skills training, including administrative training and safety training.
• Maintenance of safety certificates, including OSHA 10 hr, Forklift, CPR, and First Aid.
